The official launch of the new consortium of businesses, known as Platinum Partners, brought together with the aim of helping secure the future of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, took place at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Hosted by Platinum Partners president Ken Davy and KSDL managing director Gareth Davies, the event saw some of the Platinum Partners – Advanced Supply Chain Group, CORE Facilities Services Ltd, Richter (Huddersfield) and Froneri UK – receive their founder member trophies and enjoy a fantastic fine dining luncheon.

Alison Parker, partnerships manager at Huddersfield-based Forget Me Not, said: “It was fantastic to officially launch our Platinum Partners and to welcome along some of our inaugural members, president Ken Davy and Gareth Davies.

“With ambitious growth and fundraising plans, it’s clear our Platinum Partners are a real force to be reckoned with – and all for the good of Forget Me Not! If your business would like to be part of this game-changing group, please get in touch.”

Mike Fraine, head of UK at Froneri, said: “We chose Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice as one of our charity partners because of the fantastic work they do and the extraordinary impact they have on our local community.

“Hearing the stories of the families they support was incredibly moving and deciding to support Forget Me Not was an easy decision.

“We hope that the partnership will encourage our staff to get involved with Forget Me Not fundraising initiatives to contribute towards enabling the charity to continue its invaluable work. We hope it will inspire Froneri employees to support broader community initiatives and get involved with causes in communities local to them.

“We look forward to getting to know the Forget Me Not team over the next three years and doing all we can to help them on their mission to support children with life-shortening conditions and their families.”

To become a Platinum Partner, businesses need to commit to supporting the charity for at least a year. In return, they’ll receive exclusive invitations to partners-only events, a dedicated fundraiser to help both parties to achieve the most from the partnership and access to the soon-to-be-launched Child Bereavement Training for Employers Programme. They’ll also play a significant role in helping to secure the future of the hospice.
