Newsome Panthers are holding a signing-on day for their juniors, girls and women’s teams on Saturday January 21. Chairman Steve Roberts is looking forward to seeing as many young people as possible signing up.

The Panthers are looking to expand and enhance their junior team set up, and are looking for new juniors to join all the time.

Steve said: “The signing-on days are all about coming to meet the coaches and being introduced to the club. It’s free to attend and we are looking forward to seeing both old and new players signing on for the 2023 season.

“We want to encourage as many young people as possible to come and play rugby, have fun and socialise in a safe setting.”

The signing-on day will take place at Newsome Scout Hut and will run from 12noon until 2.30pm.

Steve added: “Our management committee, team managers and coaches will be on hand to help with any queries parents and guardians may have and we can provide them with any information they may need for the new season.

“We also have an exclusive offer for every player who registers on January 21. They will receive a personalised Newsome Panthers club top ahead of the new season.

“Whether you are a junior boy or girl or an adult woman wanting to get into rugby in a comfortable and encouraging environment, Newsome Panthers is the place for you.”
