Huddersfield RUFC women’s section is hosting a series of summer sessions and invite women in Huddersfield to come along and join them to get fit and have fun.

The RugbyFit Bootcamp sessions are open to all women over 18 and will be led by Jess Bunyard, head of women’s and girls’ rugby at the club. They will take place at Huddersfield’s Lockwood Park base on Tuesday evenings.

Jess said: “Our sessions are fully inclusive and open to all regardless of the level of personal fitness and are completely free of charge.

“Our aims are to enable women to improve their fitness, make new friends and have a laugh. Although the training is rugby informed no knowledge of the game is necessary.”

The first session will be held on June 25 and they will run until July 23 and take place between 7.15pm and 8.30pm.

Jess added: “All women need is some outdoor training clothes, trainers and a water bottle. Women don’t have to come to all of the sessions. They can choose to attend as many as they want to. Places can be booked by contacting us on our Facebook page.”
