Honley Show was back in a slightly reduced format to celebrate its 100th birthday – but there was no compromise on fun in the sun.

The Honley Show Centenary Event saw lots of the favourite attractions from livestock competitions to dog agility, birds of prey to splat a rat, Punch and Judy to Honley Male Voice Choir.

Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy all the fun of the show, even though the traditional event could not go ahead as usual in June.

Honley Show was first held in 1921 on Honley Cricket Field and the adjoining recreation ground so when it came to the Centenary Show the same location was the obvious choice.

Huddersfield Hub photographer SEAN DOYLE was there to capture images of the day.
