It’s not quite Wembley but fans of Emley AFC enjoyed their trip to Doncaster Rovers’ Eco-Power Stadium as the Pewits ended the season with a trophy.
Emley beat Maltby Main 2-0 in the final of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Cup – 25 years on for their last victory in the competition.
Emley took a large contingent of fans to South Yorkshire and were rewarded with victory as Paul Walker and Iyrwah Gooden scored the goals.
Emley players and officials celebrated the club’s ninth County Cup win on Saturday with the fans as the trophy was lifted into the night sky.
