Here are 17 pictures which perfectly illustrate how happy both volunteers and fans were at the Skye Direct Stadium as Golcar United paraded their play-off trophy around the ground.
United had one last fixture to play as they took on Ilkley Town in the 1st Division Cup. The Weavers lost the game 2-1, Ryan John scoring the goal for United. Despite it being a disappointment to go out of the cup, the smiles remained large as fans and hard working volunteers got a chance to lift the cup.

A really interesting article. The very best wishes to him and his team. I have happy memories of refereeing at Marsden and it would have been sad if they had folded so I hope the new management team, the committee and of course the players can make them successful again and emulate the great success of Golcar Utd.
