Golcar United are hosting a Party on the Pitch for the local community this weekend, May 14 and 15, at the Skye Direct Stadium.
The family friendly weekend will see some fantastic tribute acts on stage as the village lets its hair down.
On the Saturday event, which runs from 12noon to 10pm, festival-goers will be treated to songs from The Killers (Kopycat Killers), Oasis (Oaces), the Stone Roses (Absolute Stone Roses), the Arctic Monkeys (Subarctic Monkeys) and the Courteeners (Courtbetweeners) and local artist Dale Taylor.
On Sunday (noon-9pm) Queen (Killer Rhapsody), Madness (Complete Madness), UB40 (Johnny 2 Bad), Radio Active (Eighties Hits) and Robbie Williams (AJ) will provide the soundtrack.
Across the weekend there will be a fun fairground running, plus food stalls and also a licensed bar. Money raised will go to Golcar Community Playing Fields, Golcar Lily Day and Golcar Winkle Club.

Golcar United secretary Ben Senior is hoping for a big turnout and said: “The club is excited to be hosting this event and we’d love as many people as possible to come down to the stadium and join in what should be a really fun-packed weekend.
“The club had tremendous support from the village last season as we earned promotion but now it’s time to get our dance shoes on and have a good time!”
