Emley AFC were twice ahead through Callum Charlton and George Doyle but had to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw at Silsden on Saturday.
The point was an important one to pick up as Emley sit 17th in the North Counties East League Premier Division table on 18 points.
Charlton gave the Pewits the perfect start when he put Emley ahead in the 6th minute but Jack Normanton lobbed Emley keeper Gary Stevens from 15 yards to make it 1-1 at half-time.
Emley were back in front just before the hour mark when Charlton turned provider to cross for Doyle to plant a bullet header into the bottom right corner.
Silsden fought back and equalised against seven minutes from time when Normanton prodded the ball past Stevens from the tightest of angles.
It’s not until November 27 when Emley return to league action at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground against Winterton Rangers.
For the next two weeks Emley will play in cup matches. First up is a fixture against Newcastle Benfield on Saturday in the second round of the FA Vase.
