Sarah Banks, author and menopause consultant, has partnered with retailer Matalan to run a trial of her recently launched The Menopause Positivity Planner.
The unique coaching journal supports and educates women at any stage of menopause, from as early as having initial symptoms to post-menopause, and has been given to a group of employees to support their health and wellbeing. A series of feedback sessions will be carried out across the trial period.
Lindley-based Sarah said: “It’s refreshing to be working with Matalan, a reputable organisation that is willing and excited to create an inclusive culture where everyone feels able to talk about the menopause and women are given the support they need.
“For far too long the menopause has been a taboo subject in society and I wanted to create a support tool which ensured that the menopause doesn’t hold women back at an age when many are at the peak of their career.
“The Menopause Positivity Planner achieves just that, and I’m delighted to partner with the team at Matalan who share my vision for supporting those affected by the menopause.”
Colette Milburn, HR business partner at Matalan head office, added: “Our partnership with Sarah will give our colleagues, and their partners, access to the new Menopause Positivity Planner which offers practical information and a structured wellbeing support programme through journaling.
“Menopause is a really important health topic, which affects many of us. I’m proud we’re working with Sarah on this initiative, and through this partnership we’re continuing to champion the wellbeing of our colleagues by offering this service.”
Sarah’s debut planner, The IVF Positivity Planner, was released in October 2019 and has seen a 44% year on year growth off the back of a surging online demand. Last year hailed another record year of sales, with an 181% uplift from 2020.
Sarah hopes to connect with other organisations looking to take positive action and support employees going through the menopause.
