Alex Metcalfe made it four goals in five matches as Emley AFC kept their promotion dream alive with a fourth straight victory.
Metcalfe set the Pewits on the way to a 3-0 win at Silsden to keep up the pressure on the top two.
Emley’s dominant display at Cobbydale saw first half goals from Metcalfe and Junayd Cassius-Gill before Rikki Paylor wrapped up the game in the second half.
A clinical first half saw the visitors take the lead in the 18th minute when Iyrwah Gooden went down in the box and Metcalfe despatched the penalty.
Cassius-Gill doubled the lead after 33 minutes when he slotted home from an acute angle in front of the travelling fans.
Emley could have made it 3-0 on a few occasions before the break, the best chance coming on the stroke of half-time. Emley had three corners in quick succession. From the second corner, the ball found the feet of Joe Clegg who fired in a rocket of a shot towards the top corner. However, Silsden’s keeper Kyle Welsh pulled off a superb save.
Following a dominant first half, it was a bit scrappy in the second with a handful of chances for Emley and a couple of chances for the hosts. Emley sealed victory in the 73rd minute when Paylor headed in.
Emley are next in action at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Tuesday February 28 (7.45) against Eccleshill United.
