Huddersfield Town Supporters’ Association (HTSA) has launched the HTSA Sustainable Stadium Campaign survey to complement the Sustainable Stadium Campaign.
It takes two minutes to complete and we’re asking Town fans to have their say. Our main aim is to see how interested fans are in sustainability and what measures they’d like to see in the coming months and years.
The results will be used to guide HTSA’s future direction as well as being a useful tool to inform the club of supporters’ opinions. Click on the following link to take part in the survey:

Here’s what else the HTSA’s sustainability working group have been up to in the last couple of weeks.
We relaunched our Sustainable Stadium campaign with some additional objectives:
On Tuesday March 23, we spoke at an online seminar hosted by Football Supporters Europe (FSE) entitled “How football fans are tackling climate change: grassroots activities from across Europe.”
FSE’s goal was to find out whether fans are concerned about sustainability, and if so, what they are doing to promote it. Over 40 participants from across Europe and even further afield listened to Katie Cross from Pledgeball, Manuel Gaber from Zukunft Profifuβball, and HTSA discuss fan-led efforts to make sure football meets its responsibilities when it comes to the environment.
Pledgeball is a way to encourage millions of people in the football community to make a small, easy change to their lifestyle to collectively have a big impact on our planet.
Fans, players, clubs, grassroots teams can get involved by making pledges relating to specific clubs or fixtures with a league table ranking fans’ efforts. Pledgeball has worked closely with non-league side Whitehawk F.C., but also have plans to team up with HTSA.
At the end of our short Sustainable Stadium Campaign survey you can choose to be contacted to take part in an additional survey carried out by Pledgeball so look out for that.
On Thursday March 25, we also met remotely with representatives of Kirklees Council to discuss the Sustainable Stadium Campaign and relaunching meetings between all stakeholders of the John Smith’s Stadium. These meetings have been put on hold since the pandemic began over a year ago.
It was very useful to open dialogue with Clr Paul Davies, Cabinet member for Culture and Greener Kirklees, and Colin Parr, strategic director environment and climate change, and we intend to meet with them again once the elections in early May have finished.
