The weather put paid to matches in the Huddersfield District League last weekend but here’s a mid-season update on league standings and goalscorers.

At the halfway point in the season Linthwaite Athletic lead the Premier Division with 25 points with Holmbridge in second place with 20 points. Honley, in third place have 19 points with two games in hand on the leaders.

Grange Moor Saints lead Division 1 with 27 points, second placed Linthwaite Athletic Reserves are six points behind. Berry Brow Reserves in third place have 18 points with three games in hand on the Saints.

It’s tight at the top of Division 2, the top four teams have all played 10 games. St Columba’s are top with 19 points with Berry Brow A in second place with 18 points.

Brighouse Athletic and Holmbridge Reserves are third and fourth both with 17 points. Huddersfield Laund Hill are fifth on 16 points with two games in hand on the top four teams.

Skelmanthorpe Reserves lead Division 3 by four points from second placed Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves. Slaithwaite United are in third place, two points behind Kirkheaton Rovers.

Deighton A lead Division 4 on 25 points with Skelmanthorpe A, a point behind in second place. Honley Reserves are in third place with 21 points with a game in hand on Deighton A.

With 11 wins in a row, Savile United top Division 5 with Fothergill & Whittles in second place, five points behind. Mount Pleasant lie in third place with 24 points with Cartworth Moor in fourth place a point behind.

Michael Carter from Netherton leads the Premier Division scoring charts with 13 goals from 11 games. Jason Evans (Moorside), Ben Lindley (Honley) and Ryan Wadsworth (Linthwaite Athletic) are joint second, all with 11 goals.

In Division 2 free-scoring Grange Moor Saints have the top three goalscorers with Connor Steele on 22 goals from 11 games. Cameron Wilkey in second has 11 goals from nine games and Kieron Mayall in third place has 10 goals from 10 games.

Connor Perry from Brighouse Athletic tops the Division 2 goal charts with 11 goals from 11 games with Felix Beaumont (Holmbridge Reserves) in second place with nine goals from 11 games.

The League’s overall top goalscorer Ryan Patterson from Slaithwaite United also tops the Division 3 scoring chart with 24 goals from nine games. Blake Jackson (Skelmanthorpe Reserves) is in second place with 13 goals from eight games.

In Division 4 Jacob Tatlock from Brook Motors tops the scoring charts with 15 goals from 12 games. Emick Katika (Deighton A) has scored 13 goals in four games with Danny Simpson (Skelmanthorpe A) in third place with 11 goals from nine games.

In Division 5 it’s a much tighter fight with four players joint top all with 12 goals – Josh Armitage (Cartworth Moor), Dan Baker (Hade Edge Development), Aron Heywood (Eccleshill Punjab East Bowling) and Isan Safeer (Savile United).
