Golcar Lily Day returned for the first time since 2019 and the crowds turned out to celebrate in the sunshine.
There was music, dancing, military re-enactments, food and drink, all to the backdrop of a patriotic Jubilee theme.
One of the highlights of the day was a flypast by a Lancaster bomber, which was in the skies to mark 79 years since the Dambusters raid.
Freelance journalist Andy Hirst, of AH-PR, captured a video of the Lancaster flying over Golcar but it wasn’t just seen in Golcar, of course. Huddersfield Hub photographer Sean Doyle found a hilltop vantage point.
