International soul trio The Three Degrees are bringing their 60th anniversary tour to Huddersfield.
The world-renowned group will be taking to the stage at Smile Bar & Venue in Wakefield Road on Thursday October 5 as part of their UK tour.
Best known for their chart-topping single ‘When Will I See You Again’, The Three Degrees have been entertaining audiences for more than five decades – making them the longest-running female vocal group in history.
And they’ll be playing some of their top hits, including ‘Year of Decision’ and ‘I Like Being A Woman’ when original member Valerie Holiday, and Helen Scott and Freddie Pool, roll into Huddersfield next month.
Richard and Marie Harrison, owners of Smile Bar & Venue, said: “We are over the moon that The Three Degrees will be playing right here in Huddersfield.
“To attract the likes of an international group like The Three Degrees to Smile Bar & Venue is what we’ve always wanted – and we can’t wait to celebrate their 60th anniversary tour.”
Renowned as Prince Charles’ favourite band, The Three Degrees can still make the claim to be the longest-running female vocal group in history. They have been going constantly since 1963 and show no signs of slowing down!
The Three Degrees will be playing all over the UK including London and Cardiff.
