Once again, the weather decimated the Huddersfield District League fixture schedule.
In Division 1 Almondbury Woolpack lost 6-2 to Linthwaite Athletic Reserves with Courtney Allert and David Ginty scoring for Woolpack. Linfit’s scorers were Joshua Kilborn, Dwight Brooks-Webster, Matthew Devlin and a hat-trick from Tevin Watson. Linthwaite Reserves move up to second place in the division.
In Division 2 Holmbridge Reserves were beaten at home by Britannia Sports Reserves 3-2 with Will Winnard, Daniel Flanaghan and Leo Smith scoring for Britannia. Chris Cowell and Gary Parr scored for Holmbridge.
Hade Edge beat Netherton Reserves 4-2 with goals from Cameron Young (two), Matthew Chiappori and Jonathan Hepworth to move up to sixth place. Thomas Yarwood and Jack Taylor scored for Netherton.
Ryan Patterson scored twice as Slaithwaite United moved up to second place in Division 3 beating Cumberworth Reserves 2-1 with Ellis Mellor scoring for Cumberworth.
George Bailey scored for Mount in their 1-1 draw with Linthwaite Athletic A, with Nathan Kavanaugh scoring for Linfit.
In Division 4, Deighton are up to second place, four points off the leaders following their 5-2 win over Almondbury Woolpack Reserves with goals from Isaac McDonald, Archie Corcoran (two), Kobi Grant and Thomas Hartley. Kudakwashe Chiromba and Harry Walker scored for the Woolpack.
Division 5 runaway leaders Savile United dropped their first points of the season being held to a 0-0 draw up at Cartworth Moor. Cartworth Moor are now up to third place.
Jordan Saville struck twice as Holmbridge knocked AFC Volunteers out of the Barlow Cup. In a 3-1 win Samuel Hellawell also scored for Holmbridge with Joshua Heavyside scoring for the Vols.
Netherton were knocked out of the West Riding County Challenge Cup by West Yorkshire League Division 2 side Boroughbridge. Alex Vickerman and Luke Wadsworth scored for Netherton in the 2-2 draw before the team lost 3-1 on penalties.
Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves were knocked out of the West Riding County Challenge Trophy losing 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw with Yorkshire Amateur League Championship Division side Fairbanks United. Jacob Buchanan and Callum Chima (two) scored the goals for Kirkheaton.
