A Christmas video by Kirklees film-maker Sam Teale has had almost one million views in just a few days.
Sam’s film ‘The Go-Kart’ went viral last Christmas and his follow-up is also going down a storm.
Sam Teale Productions, based in Cleckheaton, specialise in emotive film-making and the latest video is about a boy whose big brother is seriously ill, and the family fear he won’t live to see another Christmas.
The theme of the film is “love each other like it could be our last.” Released on Friday at 8am, the film, entitled: ‘The Market’, has surpassed 900,000 views and is still rising.
The film is raising money for children’s charity Candlelighters and takes inspiration from the real life story of Beau, who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, neuroblastoma, at the age of four.
A huge campaign raised £600,000 to send her for pioneering treatment but Beau sadly died earlier this year, just 13 days before her seventh birthday.
Sam said the success of last year’s film would be hard to better but added: “The response so far has been fantastic, not only in terms of likes and engagement but we have had messages from nurses praising us for raising awareness of children in palliative care and also from families who have been through a similar situation and can relate to it.
“We are so lucky to be healthy and to have our family around us. Christmas is not about the gifts, it is about spending time with your loved ones.”
