Up to 1,000 people will make a splash – of colour – as they take part in this year’s Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice Colour Run on Saturday May 20.

The Colour Run is an easy 3km walk, jog or run around Greenhead Park in Huddersfield – but while you’re going round you’ll be showered in clouds of coloured powder. By the end of the run, everyone will look like they’ve run through a rainbow!

Great fun for all the family, this year the Colour Run also features a 5km distance option for those who want to go a little bit further.

The annual event, first held in 2017, has raised thousands of pounds for the Huddersfield-based charity which supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire.

Vicky Lough, events fundraiser at Forget Me Not, said: “This is our biggest event of the year and something that the whole community can get involved in.

“Whether you’re young or old, fit or a couch potato, like running or prefer to stroll, it doesn’t matter – as long as you want to get as colourful as possible!

“Last year our colour runners together raised a whopping £35,000 and we’d love to do even better this year.”

Early bird tickets are now on sale at a reduced price for a limited time only. Tickets can be purchased at www.forgetmenotchild.co.uk/colourrun
