Heywood Irish Centre remain on target for a league and cup double after a thumping victory in Division 1 and a 3-2 victory over Netherton to reach the final of the Barlow Cup.
Hat-tricks from Kieron Mayall and Nathan Eastwood and further goals from Stephen Greer and Nathan Mayall saw Heywood extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points with an 8-0 win at Slaithwaite United.
The hat-trick heroes continued in goalscoring form in the Barlow Cup with a double from Eastwood and another from Kieron Mayall to put them into the final against Newsome on May 3.
Heywood, based at Huddersfield Irish Centre, previously won the league and Barlow Cup double in 2017-18 (main image above).
Meanwhile, Berry Brow beat sixth-placed Skelmanthorpe with goals from Liam Dobson (four), Ben Dobson, Wayne Shooter, Joe Brennan and Richard Hanvey in an 8-1 win. The victory put Brow four points clear of Shat.
Fothergill and Whittles moved above Scholes with a 6-0 hammering and Shepley drew 3-3 with Diggle.
In the reserve section Division 1 Linthwaite Athletic moved up to second beating Britannia Sports 4-0.
In Division 2 Holmbridge drew 1-1 with Scholes and Holme Valley Academicals beat Scissett 4-2 with a brace each from Milo Kelly and Simranpal Punia. Lewis Gill and Liam Thurlow scored for Scissett.
Berry Brow A took the runners up spot in Division 3 with a 3-0 win over Netherton and during the week beat Cumberworth A 4-1 with goals from Raymond Chingombe, Wayne Shooter, Stephen Njenga and Luke McLoughlin.
Skelmanthorpe beat Linthwaite Athletic A 1-0 and in the battle of the bottom two clubs Mount narrowly lost 5-4 to Wooldale Wanderers.
Dalton Dynamos A extended their lead at the top of Division 4 by beating Berry Brow B 6-0.
In the Groom Cup semi-final, a Toby Farrington goal was not enough for Meltham Athletic as they lost 2-1 to Moorside whose goals were scored by Jason Evans and Tom Walsh.
In the other Groom Cup semi-final Scissett came from behind to beat Wooldale Wanderers 2-1 with goals from Chris Johnson and Timothy Smeaton.
In the Richardson Cup semi-final, Deon Simmonds and Drey Marren scored for Newsome at they beat Berry Brow 2-1 with Joe Wilson scoring for the Brow.
In the other Richardson Cup semi-final Linthwaite Athletic with a goal from Chris Blakely squeezed past Cumberworth in a 1-0 win.
Deighton Reserves are through to the final of the Huddersfield FA Trophy with goals from Dominic McDonald-Wester and Hayden Webster in a 2-1 win over Linthwaite Athletic Reserves.
On Easter Monday Paddock Cricket and Bowling Club hosted both Barlow Cup semi-finals.
In the morning game Scholes entertained Newsome and Newsome won 4-1 with goals from Doran Jordan (two), Devonte Gayle and Steven Marshall. Sam Thompson scored the consolation for Scholes.
In the afternoon game Heywood Irish Centre beat Netherton 3-2. Netherton’s goals came from Michael Carter and Joel Harrison.
The Barlow Cup Final will be played at the Stafflex Arena home of Shelley FC on Tuesday May 3 kick-off 7pm.
