Huddersfield’s Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice welcomed two new businesses to its Platinum Partners consortium.
Kevin Smith, CEO at West Yorkshire-based food supplier Fullers Foods and Kieron Talbot-Sykes, co-owner of Keighley-based haulage and warehousing company Joda Freight visited Russell House.
By becoming platinum partners, both companies pledged their long-term support to help the children’s hospice in their work supporting babies and children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire.
Fullers Foods, a food supply and delivery firm, made a £10,000 donation to Forget Me Not in August 2024 and four of their staff ran the Great North Run for the charity in September, raising an incredible £4,971 to date.
Mr Smith (below with Ken Davy) said: “We’re delighted to become a platinum partner of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice to help raise funds to support families going through the toughest times imaginable.
“We’re proud to have such a fantastic opportunity to support such an incredible local charity and one which has helped and provided invaluable support to our own team.
“Our people are at the heart of what we do and who we are, and we’re all excited to be able to pull together and raise much needed funds for such a wonderful organisation.”
Joda Freight kicked off their fundraising activities with a fun day at their base in July 2024, raising over £2,000 for the charity, which helps hundreds of individuals across West Yorkshire each year, either at Russell House in Huddersfield or in families’ own homes.
Mr Talbot-Sykes (main image) said: “Joda Freight have supported a few charities over the years but this year have decided that we wanted a more targeted approach to supporting something that was both worthwhile and local.
“I used to live near the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice so were aware of the great work they do; after finding out more it was a no brainer for the whole team to throw our support behind them.”
Huddersfield entrepreneur Ken Davy, president of Forget Me Not’s platinum partner consortium, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Fullers Foods and Joda Freight as platinum partners and we thank them for their support to date.
“Every year more families come to us needing our help at the most difficult times in their lives. But we can only build a sustainable future for our charity with the help of our very generous business partners, whose long-term financial commitment helps our teams to plan and budget with more confidence. We look forward to working with them both going forward.”
Fullers Foods and Joda Freight join a growing list of like-minded businesses who want to make a significant difference in helping Forget Me Not.
Platinum partners make a commitment to supporting Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice for at least 12 months.
A dedicated fundraiser works in partnership with them to support ESG or CSR policies ensuring the partnership produces the best results for both parties including tailored internal events, marketing and campaign support.
Platinum partners receive exclusive invitations to partners only events and are also invited to all networking opportunities. Corporate volunteering days can be organised and a full tailored plan pulled together.
