Huddersfield Wind Band and Yorkshire Imperial Band are combining forces to bring you an evening of music from Borodin on Brass to Williams on Winds!

Huddersfield Wind Band, formed in 1986, perform a mix of stage and screen, contemporary works and popular music.

Yorkshire Imperial, originally Yorkshire Copper Works band, were formed in 1936, and are Wakefield’s premier brass band.

They are always popular entertainers in concert and often in demand across the region. Together this powerhouse duo promise a stunning evening of entertainment.

The concert will be held on Saturday February 11 (7.30pm) at Salendine Nook Baptist Church, HD3 3SF.

Both bands will perform individual spots in the concert, and join forces for a massed finale that will see nearly 100 musicians creating some spectacular sounds together.

Tickets are £10 for adults and £8 for concessions (over 65s and under 16) with under 10s free. Tickets can be booked online at www.yorkshireimps.co.uk.

Garry Hallas, musical director at Yorkshire Imperial Band, said tickets were available now with pay on the door too but added: “Don’t leave it too late, this concert is bound to be popular.”
