Huddersfield Town Women FC emphatically made it through to the quarter-finals of the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup by beating Dronfield Town Ladies 9-0 at the Stafflex Arena.
The Terriers are still on track to defend the trophy they won last season when they beat Barnsley at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium.
Town will be looking forward to taking on their next opponents in the cup. They will travel to Handsworth Ladies on Sunday January 22 (2.00) to play for a spot in the semi-finals.
Handsworth have already beaten Kiveton Park FC and Oughtibridge WM Women to make it this far. They were also victorious against Town’s own development squad in the second round where Handsworth won 8-7 on penalties after 90 minutes.
