The Huddersfield Town Supporters’ Association has released the following rallying cry calling on all Terriers fans to join up and attend their Annual General Meeting on Monday December 12.

It is more important now than ever to make sure the voices of Town fans are heard loud and clear.

After all, the future of Huddersfield Town will largely be dictated by who the new owners will be. As we learnt from the most recent meeting of the All together Town fan panel (ATT), there are a number of different parties interested see minutes here.

HTSA as ever will push for maximum transparency about the process and the new owners when any transfer of ownership has occurred.

It’s also important that the new owners, whoever they will be, understand what it is Huddersfield Town fans value, and want to see from their club. It’s a club that is involved with its community and represents its values.

This is something HTSA always strives to do, but to do that we need two things from yourself the fans. Firstly, we need input from fans in terms of the direction they would like to see the club going. Fans can do this by taking part in our surveys, emailing us with their views or attending our AGM as a member.

Members at the coming AGM will be given the chance to voice their concerns or ambitions for Huddersfield Town and how they would like HTSA to represent them and what they would like to see from new owners.

We will also be releasing the results of our latest survey of Huddersfield Town fans on gambling policy at Huddersfield Town. Attendees will be given the opportunity to voice their opinion on the results and how they would like Huddersfield’s Town’s relationship with sports gambling to be shaped.

HTSA also needs board members to help represent Huddersfield Town fans as well as possible. At the moment the board is on the small side compared to recent years and, to be honest, will need a few more faces in order to keep going.

HTSA would like to do much more in terms of lobbying for change at the club and in the community, however we need more board members to do so.

Whilst the deadline has now passed for people to apply for election to the board, you can still be co-opted onto the HTSA board if you are an HTSA member at the coming AGM.

If you are interested in attending the AGM to contribute to the discussion on Huddersfield Town, or are interested in joining the board then you can sign up to go to the AGM on Monday December 12.

You can register here. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom. It is open to HTSA members only (£1 to join and free if you are an NHS worker, in the armed services or a teacher).
