Huddersfield RUFC is hosting two summer fitness programmes for women and girls this month.
Each programme is free to participants and will take place on Tuesday evenings at the club’s Lockwood Park sports complex.
The programmes will be led by Huddersfield’s head of women and girls’ rugby Jess Bunyard. The charismatic and experienced coach said: “The sessions are designed to give women and girls the opportunity to improve their fitness, meet new people, make new friends and have fun. They are open to all no matter what your level of starting fitness.”
The ‘Multi-Sports’ programme for girls will take place on Tuesday evenings between June 20 and August 1 and run from 6pm until 7pm.
It is open to girls from Year 6 to college age and aims to build confidence and give girls the opportunity to try different sports.
The ‘Rugbyfit Bootcamp’ is for women over 18 and will run from 7.15pm to 8.30pm between June 27 and August 1.
Bunyard added: “The programme is inspired by rugby but tailored for women of all abilities. It aims to get women feeling physically confident and have fun. We are a friendly bunch down at Lockwood Park and all participants can be sure of a warm welcome.”
Places on the programmes can be booked by messaging Huddersfield RUFC Women and Girls on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
