Emley AFC chairman Andrew Painten is excited about the club’s offer aimed at encouraging more youngsters and families to get down to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.
The Pewits will host Winterton Rangers on this year’s Non League Day on Saturday March 25. To mark this annual celebration of grassroots football, the club wants to introduce the non-league game to the next generation of supporters.
And the club is offering free tickets to junior clubs so that kids can bring parents or guardians along too – for FREE!
The fixture will take place during an international break with no Premier League or Championship football so it’s an ideal opportunity to experience a match day at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground – for free.
Mr Painten said: “We try to come up with an idea every year and this time we’ll be working alongside our partner clubs to encourage youngsters to come and watch Emley.
“Under-13s can already come and watch us for free but the difference with this offer is that their parents or guardians can come in for free as well. So with a junior ticket, three adults can attend for free too. Meaning a family of four could watch the game for free. What could be better?
“Hopefully from this offer we can get support from that younger generation who might become life-long fans. There might be juniors out there who haven’t ever been to a live game and so we want to give them that chance.”
Officials at junior clubs wanting to get involved should email office@emleyafc.co.uk with details about the club, a postal address for the tickets and the number of registered players. One ticket per player allows entry for four people.
