Fundraisers from Honley Male Voice Choir are striding towards success in a marathon challenge.
Eighteen members of the choir are taking part in ‘We Will Walk 1,000 Miles for Mental Health & Wellbeing’ to raise money for Huddersfield mental health charity Platform 1 and choir funds.
Each member is committed to walking 1,000 miles or two million steps during 2024 and after 31 weeks the group has walked a combined 16,922 miles or an incredible 37.4 million steps!
So far the group has raised more than £1,400 towards its £2,500 target.
Platform 1 has been the choir’s Charity of the Year for the last three years and money raised by the walkers will be shared by the charity and the choir.
