Golcar United go into Saturday’s fixture against Garforth Town needing a win and to get back on track after two recent defeats. Joint boss Gav Connor is hoping a win can kickstart results again.

The Weavers currently sit 14th in the division and have lost their previous two fixtures against Maltby Main and Eccleshill United.

On their upcoming away game at Garforth, Connor said: “Tuesday’s game against Maltby was a lacklustre performance, we just didn’t perform and it was very disappointing to lose the way we did.

“I’m not sure why we have performed so well and now dropped off in the last two games. We just need to put the past behind us and re-start.

“We do know that there are no games that will be easy and that there is no game that is a given to win. We have to be switched on from the start and if we aren’t Garforth will punish us the way Maltby and Eccleshill did in the previous two games.”

On team news, Connor said: “Alex Hallam and Ben Burnett are currently injured but we have Dec McGivern and Harry Stead back available for selection.”
