Every Saturday is a Super Saturday in Huddersfeld town centre – and it can be noisy and fun!

Huddersfield BID have commissioned street performers every Saturday, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, supporting local talent as well as bringing popular artists to Huddersfield town centre.

Huddersfield BID’s marketing and projects executive Sophie Patel said: “I have been in the town centre every Saturday and it has been fantastic to see the town thriving again and great to hear shoppers say they can’t wait to come back on Saturday.”

MarkMark Productions proved popular and will be back this month, alongside additional local acts, and events.

On Saturday June 19 Huddersfield BID will be bringing a vintage theme to New Street from 11am onwards. People are invited to join in dressed in their best 1940s-1960s outfits, enjoy music from Natasha Harper, and have a little dance outside Merrie England and BonMarché.

On June 26, Huddersfield BID have joined forces with Huddersfield Live and Kirklees Council to organise a children’s book reading event.
