George Doyle hauled Emley AFC back from 2-0 down at half-time to lead 3-2 only for Winterton Rangers to snatch a 90th minute equaliser.

Paul Grimes and Josh Walker put high-flying Rangers 2-0 up after just 16 minutes and Doyle saw a first half header come back off the crossbar.

Doyle threw the home side a lifeline three minutes into the second half as he headed in the rebound after Joe Kenny’s shot was tipped onto the bar.

Two goals in three minutes just past the hour mark put the Pewits 3-2 up. First Man of the Match Callum Charlton set up Sam Pashley to level the scores before a chip from Tom Claisse found the unmarked Doyle who brought the ball down and gleefully slotted home.

There was late heartbreak for Emley, who had won eight of the previous 10 matches, when they conceded a last-gasp equaliser when Walker’s header squirmed over the line.

Emley moved up to ninth in the table with two matches left. They host champions Grimsby Borough at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Saturday April 9 (3.00).
