A fast-growing Yorkshire law firm founded in Huddersfield by three young entrepreneurs has expanded with the opening a fourth office in Ilkley as is continues its rapid growth trajectory.

Holden Smith, co-founded in Denby Dale in 2019 by James Smith, David Bancroft and Jamie Megson, has opened the new office in Ilkley town centre.

Kevin Britton, director and head of the firm’s Ilkley branch, said: “We are delighted to have established a presence in Ilkley. The new office is well-placed in the town centre and will help us deliver our ambitious growth plans by increasing the geography of the work we already deliver across our Huddersfield, Leeds and Halifax branches.

“Holden Smith has experienced rapid growth in the last 12 months and recruited more than 30 new staff, taking our total headcount to 60 people. Now is the right time for our fourth branch to open.”

Holden Smith co-founder, David Bancroft, said: “We received over 6,000 new instructions during our last financial year with particular demand across our specialist residential and commercial property services, and we feel passionately that our approach of combining the latest legal technology with outstanding client interactions to deliver exceptional levels of service has been key to our success.”

Mr Bancroft said the firm is also looking to create new jobs as it continues to grow.
