Emley AFC drew 0-0 against North East Counties League Premier Division champions Grimsby Borough in their final home game of the season. Pewits fans could relax in the sun at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground knowing their team had managed to stay up in their inaugural campaign in this league.
It looked like the chips were down at the start of the season but Emley turned it around in dramatic fashion with eight wins in the last 12 matches. They could still finish in the top ten if they clinch a point in their final game of the season at Bottesford Town on Wednesday night.
