Emley AFC are hosting an end-of-season awards evening coupled with a night to celebrate the club’s proud 120-year history on Saturday May 13 at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The evening will be attended by past and present players, management, coaches, board members, volunteers, sponsors and supporters for what should be a cracking event. The evening will be a celebration of all those that have contributed to the club’s success over the decades.
As well as marking the anniversary of the club, the event will also serve as a reunion for all those involved in the two milestones of the club’s history – 35 years since the FA Vase Wembley final and 25 years since the FA Cup run culminating in the 1998 3rd round game with West Ham United.
Current players and coaching staff from the club’s first team and academy sides will also be celebrating the end of a successful season and with individual awards also being presented.
A full three-course meal will also be served on the night too. Attendees will all receive some exclusive gifts and a commemorative programme.
Emley AFC chairman Andrew Painten said: “It’s going to be a fantastic evening and one where we will pay tribute to all those that have laid the foundations and helped put this club on the map in years gone by. We will also celebrate the present and the progress we’re making and look to the future. It’s an event not to be missed.”
