The goals were shared around as Newsome went top of Division 1 of the Huddersfield & District League with a 7-0 win at Scholes.

Eddie Hamlett (two), Doran Jordan, Josh Tyrell, Kyle Walton, Sam Wilkinson and Dan Holmes were all on the scoresheet.

Holmbridge dropped down to second losing 2-1 at home to Berry Brow. Richard Lally scored for the home side and Wayne Shooter and Angelo Piscitelli scored for the Brow.

Fothergill & Whittles move up to fourth with a fine 3-2 win away at Linthwaite Athletic with goals from Tyler Greenwood, Ryan Healey and Liam Howcroft. Max Leonard and Oliver Taylor scored for the home side.

Goals from Luke Latham and Chris Parker were not enough as Shelley lost at home to improving Slaithwaite United 3-2, with Slawit’s goals coming from Ashley Beardsall, Andrew Chadwick and Tom Dyson.

Heywood Irish Centre travelled over the tops to Diggle and came back with the points in a 5-2 win with goals from Thomas Mellor, Nathan Eastwood (two), and Thomas Helliwell (two). Adam Rowe and Jordan Boland scoring for Diggle.

A James Capewell hattrick and two from Tom Clarke saw Skelmanthorpe take the points in a 5-1 win over Shepley whose goal was scored by Daniel Simpson.

Britannia Sports moved up to second in Division 2 with a narrow win away at Dalton Dynamos whilst Cumberworth drew with Almondbury Woolpack 2-2. Goals for Cumberworth came from Jonathan McKinley (two) with David Ginty and Zach Hardaker scoring for the Woolpack.

Lepton Highlanders go top with goals from Daniel Conway (two), Angelo Lanni and Ben Lancaster in a 4-2 win over bottom club Marsh United.

Holme Valley Academicals travelled to Kirkburton and goals from Adam McKie (two) and Corey Lankovits saw them record their first away win of the season, 3-2. AFC Lindley were held by Netherton in an entertaining 3-3 draw with Lindley’s goals coming from Tom Crabtree, Jonny Crowther and Maskhur Tagwai. Nathan Chappell hit all three in reply for Netherton

 Jonathan Askin, Jacob Buchanon, Daniel Hallitt and Elliot McNab were on target for Kirkheaton Rovers in their 4-1 win over Huddersfield LH with Joe Muxworthy scoring for Huddersfield LH.

Marsden Cuckoos travelled to Brook Motors hoping to avenge last week’s 9-0 thrashing. Brook Motors opened strongly with goals from Ashley Hyde and Alex Roberts. However, Marsden fought back and took the points in a 3-2 win with goals from Fraser Hepplestone and John Conheeney (two).

Moorside completely dominated Hade Edge in a high scoring game to win 11-2 with goals from Jason Evans (five), Ryan Beech, Joe Fagan, Sean Salford (two) and Jake Maddison (two). Andrew Daisey and Adam Holland scored for the Edge.

Deighton stay top of Division 3 with goals from Dante Newell, Kalalil Shafiq (two), Dwayne Wilkinson and Omari Beckford in a 5-0 win over Meltham Athletic. Tom Lockwood and Ryan Trafford scored for Scissett in a narrow 2-1 over Grange Moor Saints whose goal was scored by Seth Quesne.

Cartworth Moor came out on top in a seesaw game against AFC Dalton, 6-4 with goals from Josh Armitage (two), Charlie Shore (two), Josh Worrall and Max Pedley.

Holmfirth Town remain rooted to the bottom of Division 4 losing 3-0 away at Brighouse Athletic whose goals came from Harry Birro (two) and Ben Whitely.

Honley edged past Flockton in a 4-3 win with goals from Tom Butcher (two), Zach Ainley and Edward Hinchliffe with Flockton’s goals coming from Conar Young and Spencer Moorhouse (two).

West End Park entertained Mount and came out on top in a thrilling 6-4 win with goals from Kyle Kershaw (two), Matthew Knight, Kyle Wilcock and Jake McDermott (two) with a brace each from Jay Wells and Callum Crosby for Mount.

In the game of the day Wooldale went top of Division 4 with a hard fought 5-3 win over Saddleworth United with goals from Brian Moulds (two), Ryan Smith (two) and Connor Castle with Andrew Cooney, Rob Kivlin and William Webster scoring for Saddleworth.   

In the Reserve Section Newsome went joint top of Division 1 with a brace from Drey Marren in a narrow 2-1 win over Deighton.

Heywood Irish Centre stay joint top despite losing out to a Leigh Miller goal for Dalton Dynamos in a 1-0 defeat.

Raymond Chingombe hit five for Berry Brow as they eased past Shelley 10-3 with further goals from Dale Neary (two), Stephen Njenga (two) and Dean Siddiq, with goals for Shelley coming from Romario Moore and Thomas Whitfield (two).

Scholes travelled to Britannia Sports and came away with the points in a 2-1 win. Linthwaite Athletic travelled to Fothergill and Whittles and lost 2-1 to goals from Kristian Evans and Jonathan Barnes.

A Dion Simmonds double was not enough for Netherton as they lost out to Diggle 3-2 whose goals were scored by Liam Corns, Charlie Hall and Sam Joyce.

Kirkburton went top of Division 2 just scraping past bottom club Holme Valley Academicals 3-2. Goals for the Accies were scored by James Carver and Thomas Murphy. Meltham were held to a rare 0-0 draw with AFC Lindley whilst Scissett lost 3-1 at home to Britannia Sports A.

Brook Motors travelled up to Scholes A and came away with the points with goals from John Lodge (two) and Patrick Clarke-spears in a 3-2 win. Goals from Ryan Kennedy (two) and Conor Fitzel were not enough as Almondbury Woolpack lost 5-3 to Holmbridge whose goals were scored by Jordan Heath (three), James Phillips and Harry Jackson.

Linthwaite A went top of Division 3 with a 3-2 win over Hade Edge who had Jonathan Poole and Harry Airstone on the scoresheet. Berry Brow A scored eight without reply against Cartworth Moor with goals from Luke Martin, Ephraim Isekolemo, Jacob Ghani, Luke McLoughlin (three) and Keegan Morgan.

Cumberworth A travelled to Slaithwaite and came away with the points in a 3-0 win with goals from Anthony Higham, Harvey Rotchell and Jonathan Nunns. Goals from Danny Moxon and Paul Drake were not enough to keep Mount from losing 3-2 to Skelmanthorpe whose goals were scored by Jimmy Brother (two) and Cameron Guest.

Shepley went top of Division 4 with a narrow 2-1 home win over Fothergill and Whittles with goals from Harrison English and Joe Lee with Bobby Wrigley scoring for the visitors.

Cumberworth B with goals from Paul Barnes, Leroy Simpson and James Simpson beat bottom club West End Park Development 3-0. Dalton Dynamos A moved up to second place with a comfortable 6-1 win over Kirkheaton Rovers.
