A canine activity centre with a doggy-designed swimming pool, a dog wash and a proper runaround indoor play arena is to open in Slaithwaite.

Dragonfly Products, which started in 2018 selling natural dog treats, has now taken on the premises next door to open Dragonfly Dog, a canine activity centre.

With over 2,000 sq ft of space to run and play, Dragonfly Dog’s indoor play arena offers tail-wagging visitors an exciting range of play equipment to engage with, alongside a swimming pool and doggy bath.

Based in Kiln Hill, Dragonfly Dog opens on Saturday November 11 after 18 months of planning and founder and owner Laura Lambert is excited to welcome doggy clients.

“It’s been a whirlwind process ensuring we could get the best of the best for our customers and their dogs,” said Laura.

“Our goal has always been to offer high-quality products and experiences for dogs. I’m so happy to say that now includes physical and mental wellness activities under Dragonfly Dog.

“Our customers won’t have to go far either. We were so lucky that we managed to acquire the premises next door to our parent company, Dragonfly Products.

“Ever since then we’ve had endless meetings on how we can put together the most holistic centre for dogs, that’s how we settled on the huge play arena, hydrotherapy pool and self-service dog wash.”

Although the hydrotherapy pool will open in December, local customers and their dogs can enjoy the diverse range of play sessions such as Puppy Power, Open Play for small and toy dogs, breed-specific play sessions and private hire.
