School pupils will be able to learn how to be environmentally savvy at an eco conference in the Holme Valley.
The event will be held next Wednesday, June 5, at the Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park off Woodhead Road and hosted by eco-educators and sustainability experts fairandfunky CIC.
Schools are invited to attend and are urged to contact fairandfunky as soon as possible.
The day is also World Environment Day and the eco conference invites students and teaching staff from schools across Kirklees to take part in interactive workshops and hands-on activities. The event is designed to foster a deeper understanding of environmental issues and encourage practical action within schools and their communities.
Helen Robinson, co-founder of fairandfunky, said: “Our goal is to inspire the next generation of eco-conscious citizens by providing them with the tools and knowledge to make a positive impact on our planet. This conference is a celebration of community, innovation and the shared commitment to a sustainable future.”
The conference will feature an exciting line-up of workshops including bio-diversity experts, arts practitioners and youth advocates who will share their insights and experiences on topics surrounding local and global environments and solutions to take action for the climate.
