Favourite family pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk will be staged in Golcar this week.
The show in St John’s Church starts on Thursday, November 30 at 7pm with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7pm and a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
It’s probably the first panto of the season in Huddersfield and is a real community effort with the 12-strong cast drawn from Golcar and Longwood.
Group member Sue Starr said: “It’s very musical and a real fun community event which involves lots of audience participation. We try to stage a panto in Golcar at this time of year every year to get people into the Christmas spirit.”
The cost is £6 adults and £4 concessions payable on the door with the money invested back into future panto productions.
