A Huddersfield teacher has become the talk of the school after winning new bikes for every pupil in her class.
Mrs Victoria Noble, a year six teacher at Lindley Junior School, came out on top in Heart Yorkshire’s Big School Showdown.
She was one of 30 Yorkshire school teachers nominated by their pupils to take part in a 10-question quick-fire quiz.
Mrs Noble answered all 10 questions correctly in an impressive 31 seconds and won a prize haul of ready-to-ride bikes and helmets provided by Wilco Motosave and Oxford Products.
Mrs Noble, who was surprised by hosts Dixie and Emma with her very own bike, said: “I’ve taught this class for two years now, and it’s so wonderful to send them off to high school with a new bike!”
The Big School Showdown competition has been running since 2016 and features on air for seven weeks, with schools across Yorkshire getting involved.
Heart Yorkshire presenter Dixie said: “We absolutely love the Big School Showdown. It’s one of the best things we do on Heart Yorkshire.”
Carl Zajac, operations director at Wilco Motosave, added: “This is always the highlight of our year. Congratulations to Mrs Noble and her class. We hope they enjoy their new bikes.”
