Britain’s Got Talent finalist Alex Mitchell is headlining the next Comedy Cellar at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield.
The Comedy Cellar’s mirth merchants return on Thursday November 28 and it promises to be another great night.
Alex is an autistic comic with functional neurological disorder (FND). He uses self-deprecating humour – laughing at himself, his neurodivergence, disability and sexuality – to reflect on some of the most difficult subjects within his own life and wider society.
Described as ‘funny and fearless’ by Simon Cowell, Alex is heartwarming, emotive and always hilarious.
Opening the night is Catherine Young, a former Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year winner with mischievous stories and warm humour in droves.
She has provided tour support for the likes of Scott Bennett and Angelos Epithemiou with her intoxicating mix of energy, cleaver sharp punchlines and inventive insight.
Also appearing are the no-nonsense Kate Robb and Stephen Bailey tour support act Amit Mistry. Compering the show is Metro Award winner Anthony J. Brown.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £14, available via the box office phone line 01484 430528 and online at www.thelbt.org.
