Newsome are through to the quarter-finals of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup after their 5-0 win over Saddleworth United with goals from Ryan Fisher (two), Doran Jordan, Darius Matheson and Chris Capone. In the quarter-final they have been drawn to play Deighton.
Berry Brow are also through following their narrow 3-2 win over Scissett with goals from Wayne Shooter (two) and Daniel Facey. In the quarter-final they have been drawn to play Moorside.
In the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy, Kyle Forde and Luke McLoughlin scored for Berry Brow Reserves in their 2-0 win over Deighton Reserves.
Tyler Kershaw scored for Fothergill and Whittles Reserves in their 1-1 draw with Meltham Athletic Reserves with Sam Dearnley scoring for Meltham. Fothergills went through winning 4-3 on penalties.
Fothergill and Whittles Reserves will play Berry Brow Reserves in the semi-final of the Challenge Trophy on April 11 at Huddersfield Laund Hill kick-off 6.15pm.
In an all Linthwaite Athletic tie the Reserves knocked out the A team 2-0 with goals from Matthew Devlin and Jacob Woods.
Linthwaite Athletic Reserves will play Netherton Reserves in the semi-final of the Challenge Trophy on April 11 at Lepton Highlanders kick-off 6.15pm.
In the league, Britannia Sports remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier Division losing 3-2 to Shepley who are second bottom.
Goals for Britannia came from Chris Fowler and Louis Forbes. Thomas Whitfield, Jacob Brown and Scott Sykes scored for Shepley.
Jamal Simpson and Jamal Hussain scored for Deighton in their 2-2 draw with Slaithwaite United. Ben Boulton and Chris Wilkins scored for Slawit.
Linthwaite Athletic moved to within three points of league leaders Berry Brow with a 5-0 win over Netherton. Liam Clark, Bryn Jenkins, Max Morley (two) and Nathan Wadsworth scored the goals.
Moorside moved level with Saddleworth United at the top of Division 1 with goals from Joe Fagan and Connor Grimsley in a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Laund Hill, who drop down to third.
Diggle are up to fourth place after a comfortable 4-0 win over bottom club Holme Valley Academicals. Kobe Shaw, Will Rowland, Connor Bishop and Kieran Holmes scored for Diggle.
Jack Smith, Tom Roberts and Lewis Haigh scored for Skelmanthorpe in their 3-2 win over Lepton Highlanders. Alexander Harrison and Antonio Ianzito scored for the Highlanders.
Almondbury Woolpack were involved in another entertaining game losing 7-5 to Honley. Oliver Mansell-Taylor hit a hat-trick for Honley whose other scorers were Ben Lindley (two), Joe Morgan and Sean Clegg. Courtney Allert (two), James Acquah (two) and Stephen Brook scored for the Woolpack.
Meltham Athletic stay second in Division 2 following their 1-1 draw with Grange Moor Saints with Louis Polat scoring for Meltham and Cameron Wilkey scoring for the Saints.
Brighouse Athletic move out of the relegation zone following their 2-1 win at Netherton Reserves with goals from Perry Connor and Jordan Hughes. Ben Balmforth scored for Netherton.
In Division 3 Juan Fleetwood and Thomas Whyte scored for AFC Lindley Reserves in their 2-1 win over Hade Edge. Cameron Young scored the consolation for Hade Edge.
Heywood Irish Centre move up to third place after a fine 2-1 win over leaders Skelmanthorpe Reserves. Carlton Balmer scored both for Heywoods and Dan Hart scored for Shat.
Berry Brow A move up to second place with goals from Yunus Abdulmumini and George Gylmah in their 2-1 win at Holmbridge Reserves. Joe Gomez scored for Mount in their 1-1 draw with Holmfirth Town with Taylor Walsh scoring for Holmfirth.
Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves regained the top spot in Division 4 after a narrow 1-0 win over Netherton A with a goal from Matthew Stephenson.
Xander Winstanley, Jake Weigh and Bradley Ward (two) scored for Diggle Reserves in their 4-1 win over Scissett Reserves. George Barden scored for Scissett.
Britannia Sports A completed their Division 5 fixtures with a 2-1 win over Hade Edge Development with goals from Brad-Lee St Hilaire and Nathan Hirst with Matthew Chiappori scoring for Hade Edge.
Tristan Samuda (two) and Kieran Artherton scored as Mount Reserves beat Cumberworth A 3-2. Ben Copley and Harvey Rotchell scored for Cumberworth.
