A fun night in Huddersfield this Saturday will feature a comedian who has supported the likes of Peter Kay and Jason Manford alongside a familiar face from Britain’s Got Talent.

Mike Wilkinson will be the headline act at Live At Laund Hill Stand Up on October 5, supported by Markus Birdman who found fame on Britain’s Got Talent.

The show is at Laund Hill Community Club on New Hey Road, Salendine Nook.

Mike started his career by reaching the finals of the So You Think You’re Funny new act competition in 2000.

Now he’s a regular on the circuit and has supported such comedy greats as Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Ross Noble, Dave Spikey and Jason Manford on their UK tours and has been a member of the Comedy Store’s Manchester-based topical improvisation group Men at Work.

Overflowing with down to earth northern charm, Mike has a wonderful laid-back style and the laughs come thick and fast with his dry humour and razor sharp wit.

Mike is also a talented musician and plays the piano and guitar.

He is supported by Markus Birdman, a Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist in 2023, who is one of stand-up’s most well-travelled comedians and has written and performed 12 Edinburgh Festival Solo shows.

He’s a talented artist and his shows often incorporate visual artwork and animations.

The evening compere will be comedian Howard Walker.
