Jordan Saville scored for Holmbridge in their 1-1 draw at Linthwaite Athletic which keeps them top of Division 1.
On Tuesday night Linthwaite beat Heywood Irish Centre 3-2 to go second and reduce Holmbridge’s lead to three points.
Daniel Facey, Wayne Shooter and Kyle Walton scored as Berry Brow kept in touch with the top two by beating Newsome 3-0. Berry Brow lie third with three games in hand and five points behind Linthwaite. Slaithwaite United and Dalton Dynamos shared the points in a 4-4 draw.
In Division 2 Nathan Chappell, Joel Rushworth (two) and Isaac Dyson scored for Netherton in their 4-1 win over neighbours Brook Motors.
Almondbury Woolpack beat bottom club Cumberworth 5-2 and Huddersfield Laund Hill drew with Lepton Highlanders 1-1.
On Tuesday Kirkburton drew with Cumberworth 2-2 and Kirkheaton Rovers drew with Huddersfield Laund Hill 2-2. Scissett moved up to midtable with a 2-0 win over Diggle who now lie next to bottom of the division.
Netherton made the trip over to Churchill playing fields to play Moorside and won 6-1 with goals from Michael Carter (two) Ryan Burchael (two), Alex Vickerman and Isaac Dyson. The win confirms their promotion along with Deighton who beat Holme Valley Academicals on Tuesday 1-0 with a goal by Coron Rowe. Deighton play Netherton on Saturday at Northfield Hall in what will be a cracker!
On Saturday Lewis Brierley and Connor Durkin scored for AFC Volunteers in their 2-1 win over Wooldale Wanderers to go fourth in Division 3. On Tuesday Grange Moor Saints beat Brighouse Athletic 4-1 with goals from Jacob Bentley, Seth Quesne and Cameron Wilkey’s 32nd goal of the season.
In the reserve section Division 1 Berry Brow went four points clear at the top of Division 1 with a 5-2 win at Deighton. Lawal Lawal, Paul Pyke, Joe Wilson and Dean Siddiq (two) scored for Brow.
Heywood Irish Centre completed their fixtures beating Cumberworth 7-3. Will Winnard, Carl David, Chris Fowler and Bradley Stansfield scored for Britannia Sports in their 4-2 win over AFC Lindley. Joshua Gibbons and Danny Wright scored for Lindley.
In reserve Division 2 Linthwaite Athletic A drew 2-2 with neighbours Slaithwaite United. Jack Woods hit three and Dan Hart also scored as Skelmanthorpe drew 4-4 with Holme Valley Academicals whose goals were scored by Matthew Webster (two), Jacob Hoyle and Martin Clee.
Matthew Abbott, James Robson and Harry Dyson scored for Netherton A in their 4-3 defeat by Grange Moor Saints. Kieran Powley, Matthew Warrington, Jordan Wells and Adam Wain scored for the Saints.
Diggle completed their reserve Division 3 campaign beating Brook Motors Development 5-1 with goals from Daniel Hone (two), Daniel Gaskin, Bradley Ward and Daniel Bumford. Stephen Brook (two) and Tim Kelly scored for Almondbury Woolpack in their 3-0 win over Hade Edge Development.
In the Huddersfield FA Challenge Trophy semi-final Holmbridge beat Linthwaite Athletic 3-0 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
