Mirfield Parish Cavaliers’ first match back in the Huddersfield Cricket League Premiership looks far from easy with a visit to top-flight runners-up Honley.

Champions Hoylandswaine visit Shepley in a tantalising first look at the new season’s fixtures which commence on Saturday April 15.

Newly-promoted Parish will hope to hit the ground running after going the entire 2022 season unbeaten in their romp to the Jedi Championship title. The Mirfield side finish the season also on their travels as they wind down at Shepley on September 9.

Another intriguing tussle takes place at Thongsbridge who take on another Mirfield-based club in Moorlands who’ll take their new-look side to Miry Lane. Thongsbridge will also finish the season at home, against Hoylandswaine.

The trio of teams relegated from the Premiership last season avoided facing one another and will get to grips with new opponents on the opening day. Armitage Bridge entertain Rastrick and Golcar will relish an opening home match against much-fancied Denby whereas Delph & Dobcross, who finished bottom will travel to Holmfirth.

Edgerton & Dalton’s first match in the Conference will be away at Upperthong as they aim on continuing their momentum gained in the past couple of seasons. Two newly-relegated sides hit the road with Elland visiting Kirkheaton and Emley Clarence journeying to Marsden.

All 50 over matches (the top three divisions) will start at 12.30pm all season in a new change to fixtures as the league makes preparations to become an ECB Premier League.
