Huddersfield gastro-pub The 3 Acres will reveal its 2025 reopening date on Boxing Day – exactly one year since it was devastated by a major fire.

The iconic venue has been closed since last December while undergoing an extensive programme of refurbishment to the entire building, including a full rebuild of the kitchen which was completely destroyed in the Boxing Day 2023 blaze.

Owner Tom Truelove said: “We couldn’t think of a better way to mark one year since the fire than announcing the date when we’ll be welcoming guests back to the Acres.

“’When will you be reopening?’ has been the million-dollar question for the best part of the last 12 months since the fire, so the whole team is absolutely delighted to finally have a date to share with everyone this Boxing Day.”

Earlier this year, owner Tom and wife Lauren revealed plans for eight brand new luxury bedrooms, new interior schemes and an update to the restaurant’s much-loved Oyster Bar, amid the refurbishment.

As well as a brand new look, the restaurant menu will also see a few changes with old classics and new favourites to be added.
