This Christmas, Huddersfield charity Yorkshire Children’s Centre (YCC) are appealing to the local business community to come together to help them raise awareness and funds through their ‘Tree of Wishes’ campaign, to help support children and young people from across our communities this festive period.

This is a brand-new initiative for the charity that will see supporting local businesses showcased with their logo printed on a bauble that will be proudly displayed on a Christmas tree at Brian Jackson House in Huddersfield.

For a minimum donation of £50, local businesses can show their support and help wishes come true this Christmas for the children and young people YCC support throughout the year.

Sara Eltman, head of income and partnerships, said: “YCC relies entirely on the generosity of others to help us raise the £3m needed this year to deliver our range of services that support children, young people and their families.

“This is a great way for businesses in Huddersfield to join together, show their support and help YCC to raise awareness and funds over the festive period. We are extremely grateful to all of our supporters and thank everyone for their kindness and generosity.”

Businesses interested in taking part should contact Sara Eltman at YCC on sara.eltman@yccuk.org.uk and donations for the Christmas Wishes Appeal can be made online via Just Giving https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/yccchristmaswishes2021
