A growing software company is to move to new, larger premises.

Software as a Service provider Adventoris has been at the University of Huddersfield’s 3M Buckley Innovation Centre (3M BIC) since it opened in 2013.

Now, a decade on, the company is moving to a new base but will remain in Huddersfield.

Over the last decade the company has grown from a team of two to 50 and boasts a client portfolio of over 200 businesses in the UK and overseas.

Adventoris was established in 2012 when experienced corporate director James Clarkson teamed up with blue-chip system architect, Aman Shergill.

Adventoris set out to devise innovative and competitive platforms to enable businesses to increase sales, reduce costs and provide enhanced customer service.

SwiftCloud is Adventoris’ flagship product that provides businesses with a B2B mobile app platform for customers to see products, communicate with the company and make orders 24/7. Companies benefit from a more efficient service, saving them over 50% in ordering time.

Commenting on the move, Adventoris’ founder and CEO James Clarkson said: “Adventoris’ growth hasn’t been straightforward, and we are extremely grateful for the support and flexibility we have received from the 3M BIC over the years, without which, we wouldn’t be where we are now.”

The move for Adventoris means a rare opportunity at the 3M BIC which has been almost full since it opened its doors over 10 years ago, with several office spaces coming onto the market that can accommodate from two to eight people.

3M BIC’s CEO Sue Cooke said: “Adventoris’ journey epitomises what the 3M BIC is all about, supporting businesses to thrive and grow.

“We are incredibly proud of the company’s evolution from a green field start-up to the global player it is today. It will be sad to see James, Aman and the rest of the team go as they have been a part of our community for so long, but we wish them every success for the future.

“Adventoris’ move means we will have numerous offices available, which is a rare opportunity at the 3M BIC, and we envisage they won’t be vacant for long.

“Businesses looking for their first office or to relocate are being encouraged to get in touch with our team to arrange a viewing as soon as possible.”

The 3M BIC is part of the University of Huddersfield and offers office and lab space for growing businesses, meeting and conference rooms, hot-desking, as well as company address registration and event space discount via its membership.

It also houses expertise and technology for product design and development, product prototyping, such as 3D printers, product analysis, including x-ray facilities, and digital design capabilities.
