Honley-based social media company Social Progress has helped promote a newly-released movie featuring star names including Joan Collins, Fleur East, Omid Djalili, Samantha Barks and Anita Dobson.

Social Progress was hired to work alongside independent film producer Visualize Films to create a buzz around its all-star big screen version of the musical ‘Tomorrow Morning.’

The stage show musical was turned into a movie when the pandemic showed no signs of coming to an end in early 2021.

Composer and lyricist Laurence Mark Wythe contacted John Danbury, MD of Visualize Films, and the rest – as they say – is history.

As pre-production kicked off in rapid time, John Danbury recognised the film would need a social media presence to get the word out and create a buzz around the new film.

He contacted local social media firm, Social Progress, who put together a bespoke package for promoting the film on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Social Progress specialises in all things social media, from social media training, to social media advertising and account management.

They work with businesses to put together a tailored strategy plan to engage audiences and attract new business.

Janet Bebb, owner of Social Progress, said: “We were delighted to be chosen to support the social media management and online promotion of Tomorrow Morning up until it was ready to be handed back over to the film-makers in January 2022.

“I have known John for several years through networking and the local business community, and he is always a pleasure to work with.

“Tomorrow Morning was a fantastic project to be involved in and it’s great to share the success of local film-makers with the wider world.”

Since launching the social media accounts for Tomorrow Morning, Social Progress has seen followers from across the globe, as well as many film-makers, celebrities and members of the cast engaging with the photos and videos they shared.

Social Media account manager Joanna Bradley said: “Tomorrow Morning the Movie was a great project to be involved in.

“It was exciting to see sneak peeks from behind the scenes and be able to share this with Tomorrow Morning’s dedicated fans. The casting is truly brilliant, and it was great to see the excitement generated when word got out.

“Part of the joy of working at Social Progress is the vast variety of clients we work with, and projects we get involved in.
