It’s been another memorable – and historic – year and in 2022 Huddersfield Hub photographer SEAN DOYLE was there to capture some precious moments in time.
It was a year where we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and said ‘thank you’ for Her Majesty’s longevity and service to the country and, sadly, just three months later we mourned her passing.
The Queen’s Baton Relay arrived in Greenhead Park; there was a landmark 500th Huddersfield Parkrun; Huddersfield people rallied to support Eden Smith in her fight against cancer, raising an incredible £500,000; and Golcar United won promotion via the play-offs in Cumbria.
We had a drought which saw reservoirs empty and the fields and countryside become a parched and we had Snowdogs who put towns and villages on the map and raised tens of thousands of pounds for The Kirkwood.
