Huddersfield-based Scriba PR has kicked off a third year of sponsorship for a promising junior football squad.
Scriba’s logo is emblazoned on the shirts of Linthwaite FC’s under-9s – who were the under-7s when the Lindley-based agency started its support.
The squad has grown to comprise two teams, the Leopards and the Lions, playing six-a-side football in the Macron Huddersfield and Junior District Football League.
Players have developed their strength, skills, and experience, swiftly climbing divisions. Their home ground is Colne Valley High School where both 4G and grass pitches are in use.
Scriba’s sponsorship has paid for new, iconic black and white striped matchday shirts, supplied this time by Surridge Sport.
The Linthwaite Under-9s team is coached and managed by parents Chris and Tracy Wilkins, Ash Taylor and Paul Coverley.
Tracy Wilkins, team organiser, said: “We’re delighted that Scriba is sponsoring us for another season. The players were so excited to receive their new shirts — with their trademark black and white stripes in a trendy brush stroke effect this time!
“Everywhere we play, we look like a confident and unified team, evidenced by the players’ behaviour both on and off the pitch.”
Katie Mallinson, managing director of Scriba PR, said: “I grew up in Linthwaite, and our editorial excellence manager, Jenny Gibson’s son Fergal plays for the squad, so when the opportunity to support the Leopards and the Lions for another season presented itself, we couldn’t say no!
“We’re fans of any initiative that gets young children active and enthusiastic – and look forward to cheering the team on for many matches to come.”
