A beer festival is to be held near Huddersfield town centre over three days this summer.

Greenhead Beer Festival was last held eight years ago but returns on the weekend of Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18 at Greenhead Masonic Hall on Greenhead Road, Huddersfield.

It will be raising money for The Masonic Charitable Foundation which is one of the largest charitable organisations in the UK, donating to local and national charities.

The festival will feature more than 40 beers and ciders including IPAs, stouts, lagers and a festival gin bar, along with food vendors.

Entertainment will include live bands and Friday night will feature blues band the Bonnie Mac Band along with a pie and pea supper.

Saturday will feature singing Slaithwaite barber Tim Soradis in the afternoon and State Of Confusion in the evening while Sunday will feature rockers Jagged Edge.

State of Confusion describe themselves as ‘a collaboration of string-twanging, button-pressing, thing-hitting Luddites from the hills of Lancashire and Yorkshire. We come round your place, make noise and then leave.’
