Lindley will be full of scarecrows this weekend with some brilliant creations on show.

All the money raised from the event which runs from Friday, October 4 at 3pm to Sunday, October 6 at 4pm will go to local groups or charities and last year £600 was split between the Welcome Centre food bank in Huddersfield and Lindley Community Group.

The trail will include scarecrows made by people at their homes and businesses and will also include some old favourites from previous years.

Programmes containing a quiz with prizes, a voting slip for your favourite scarecrows and a map of the route will be available for £1 from Lindley Methodist Church, St Stephen’s Church and the Children’s Bookshop.

Refreshments will be available at both churches along with the cafes and restaurants in Lindley.
