Footballing icon Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne is coming to Huddersfield for an exclusive meet and greet event.
Only 100 lucky people will get to meet and have their photo taken with a player described as the “most naturally talented English footballer of his generation.”
The event on May 5 2023 will be held at Huddersfield Laund Hill Community Club at Salendine Nook and costs £85 a ticket.
Fans will be able to have a true VIP experience, enjoying a three course meal, a complementary pre-meal drink and a professionally-taken photograph with the star himself.
There are limited places left with organisers encouraging people to buy tickets fast before they get snapped up.
Gazza played for Newcastle United, Tottenham and Rangers among other clubs winning an FA Cup, two Scottish league titles, a Scottish FA Cup and a Scottish League Cup.
Gazza played for England from 1988 to 1998 and was capped 57 times, scoring 10 goals.
He was part of the England team that reached fourth place in the 1990 FIFA World Cup, where he famously cried after receiving a yellow card in the semi-final with West Germany, which meant he would have been suspended for the final had England won the game.
Gazza also helped the team to the semi-finals of Euro 96, which included scoring a goal against Scotland, described in 2013 as one of the most iconic goals in the game’s recent history.
Gazza, now 55, retired from football in 2004 and has had a series of well-documented health issues in his personal life.
Event organiser Billy Mareya said: “We can’t wait to have him at Laund Hill on the night for what should be a spectacular evening.”
Alongside Gazza will be stand-up comedian Lea Roberts, one of the most sought-after and well-known faces on the after dinner circuit, working all over the UK and abroad.
MC for the night is Andy Ashworth. Andy has worked in the event business for 30 years; including 11 with the BBC in the North predominantly as BBC Radio Lancashire’s sports presenter.
